In celebration of the 4th anniversary of the UST Alumni Association - SOCCSKSARGEN Chapter (USTAA-SC), the alumni group held its 2nd Bestball Golf Tournamant at the Brittannika Golf Course in Tupi, South Cotabato on July 31, 2022.

 This year, the activity aims to continue the association's advocacy for education through scholarship grants and donations. USTAA-SC Vice President for Internal Affairs Architect Antonio D. Villanueva reported that the last golf fundraiser in 2019 was able to donate 2 classrooms when the region was hit by an earthquake in the same year. They were able to fund temporary learning spaces in Makilala Central Elementary School in 2020. Chairs, hygiene kits, backpacks were also handed over to a tribal village school in Cotabato.

Present in the event is the UST Rector Rev. Fr. Richard G. Ang, O.P., PhD, UST Vice-Rector for Finance Fr. Roberto L. Luanzon, Jr., O.P., SThD, DL, and UST Office for Grants, Endowments, and Partnerships in Higher Education Director Fr. Maximo P. Gatela, O.P., PhL. Also present is the UST Office of Alumni Relations Director Asst. Prof. Fredeswindo R. Medina, MACHs and UST Alumni Association Inc. President Evelyn Songco, PhD.

UST officials and guests were welcomed by Cong. Peter B. Miguel, an alumnus of the UST Faculty of Pharmacy Batch 1990 and UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery Batch 1994. Likewise, Asst. Prof. Medina congratulated the association for its successful implementation of projects and programs, and commended the members' commitment in serving not only the Thomasian community but also the society. Dr. Songco, during her speech, also thanked the non-Thomasian golfers who joined and participated in the cause. She also encouraged everyone to let their young family members be a part of the growing Thomasian community in the south by enrolling them at the soon-to-be opened UST General Santos City Campus.

Winners were announced and awarded trophies for their great play during the tournament.
